Hoop Teachings
In these groups of men, women, and children, we share intimate conversationson native ways from North and South America, crafts, skills, respectful attitudes, and indigenous values. We discuss the reasons for Rites of Passage, their historical applications, and how they relate to the present. Classes often include small ceremonies. FWF also offers private gathering for groups of friends, family and community organizations.
Men’s Retreats of Empowerment
Weekends in the wilderness for men to focus on, participate in and examine the issues of men. Experience healing through original myths, walking through and experiencing the rites of passages into manhood and the creation of a men’s council of warriors. The result is the knowing one’s true first weapon and how to use it with clarity—the spoken word.
Children’s Camps
Offered in cooperation with Museums, schools and private organization—we provide in-class presentations, weekend Boys-to-Men and Girls-to-Maidens Ceremonies, plus youth trainings in tracking, shelter construction and survival tools & skills. Playful, creative, and highly educated staff members offer artful support for each child or youth towards self-reliance, personal choices and a strong focus on enhancing the individual’s innate gifts and talents.
